Aruba AP-344 & ATS-OHDP-245-1011-4NJ-IC
Hi,
Just a short entry about the use of the AccelTex HD antenna with the Aruba AP-344 access point.
In this case I would like to use the
ATS-OHDP-245-1011-4NJ-IC
with the
AP-344.
There are no Acceltex HD antennas with RP-SMA connectors, at least I didn’t find any. And the Aruba AP’s mostly use RP-SMA for external connectors.
Because I had to do some research on how to get the Antenna fitted to the AP -connectors, I’ll just put this out there and hope I can help save someone a good 45minute search 🙂
Here we go:
ARUBA AP-344
The AP is dual 5GHz radio capable and there fore has Two sets of 4 RP-SMA connectors.
To keep it simple I will address just one of the 2 sets.
ARUBA AP-344:
4 X RP-SMA PLUG(female)

ATS-OHDP-245-1011-4NJ-IC:
4 X N- JACK

Hmm that doesn’t fit… although according to the Acceltex the antenna is compatible.
So watch out with that one. We need to go from N-Jack to RPSMA -Plug. That means we will need a Cable/Connector N-Plug to RPSMA -Jack.
So you’ll also need 4
ATS-240-RANP-RPSMAP-5ft adapter cables.
Summary
Single Antenna use (5GHz & 2.4GHz):
1 x AP-344
1 x ATS-OHDP-245-1011-4NJ-IC
4 x
ATS-240-RANP-RPSMAP-5ft
Dual Antenna use (dual 5GHZ):
1 x AP-344
2 x ATS-OHDP-245-1011-4NJ-IC
8 x
ATS-240-RANP-RPSMAP-5ft
